We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join a project based on a Water Treatment Works in Essex. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical plant and equipment, ensuring high standards of safety and quality on site.Key Responsibilities:Install, assemble, and maintain mechanical equipment and pipework on water treatment facilities.Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of pumps, valves, actuators, and associated plant.Support commissioning and testing of installed systems.Work from engineering drawings and technical specifications.Adhere to site health, safety, and environmental procedures at all times.Collaborate with supervisors, engineers, and other trades to deliver work efficiently.Ensure tools, equipment, and plant are used safely and maintained correctly.Complete job sheets, reports, and other documentation as required.Requirements:Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter in the water sector or similar industries.Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, maintenance, and repair.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical instructions.Valid CSCS Card.Water hygiene / EUSR and confined space certification (desirable but not essential).Own tools and PPE.What’s on Offer:Competitive day rate of £250-£280 (Outside IR35).Long-term opportunity with potential for continuity of work across water treatment projects.Chance to work on essential infrastructure within the water industry.Share JobYour ConsultantOwen DawsonAssociate ConsultantFull nameEmail addressMessageUpload CVUpload your CV/resume or any other relevant file.
