Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-timeAre you a patient, enthusiastic, and supportive individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young learners?GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join schools in the Sheffield (S13) area. As a Primary TA, this role provides the opportunity to support classroom learning, foster pupils’ confidence and development, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Support teachers in delivering lessons and classroom activities.
  • Assist pupils with learning tasks, ensuring they are engaged and supported.
  • Promote positive behaviour and social skills in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
  • Help prepare learning resources and support classroom organisation.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff to support pupils’ individual needs.
  • Maintain safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
  • Previous experience working with children in a school or educational setting is desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
  • Patience, enthusiasm, and a passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
  • Ability to adapt support to meet the needs of pupils with varying abilities.
  • An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
  • A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
