As our new Housekeeping & Laundry Assistant, you’ll be a vital part of the team that helps Etive House feel like home. From sparkling bedrooms to fresh linens, you’ll ensure everything is clean, comfortable, and cared for, just like our residents.You’ll split your time between general housekeeping duties and supporting our laundry service, ensuring that personal items are returned fresh, folded, and labelled with care. You’ll also help residents settle in and feel at ease by maintaining a calm and homely atmosphere.This isn’t just about cleaning, it’s about dignity, pride, and making a difference.What You’ll Do:
- Keep our home spotless – including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and fixtures
- Handle all laundry tasks – from collecting and washing to drying, folding, and returning items correctly
- Ensure residents’ clothing and linen are treated respectfully and always labelled appropriately
- Manage waste and hygiene standards in line with infection prevention and health and safety guidance
- Work collaboratively with the wider team to keep our environment safe, clean, and welcoming
- Offer a kind word or smile – you’ll be part of the fabric of our residents’ daily lives
- A strong eye for detail and a love of keeping things clean and tidy
- The ability to follow systems and procedures to keep residents safe
- A team player who understands the importance of their role in the bigger picture
- A warm, friendly approach and a natural desire to help
- Flexibility to cover both housekeeping and laundry duties as required
