Start Date: SeptemberInspire confidence, creativity, and expression through performance.A vibrant secondary school in the heart of Redbridg is seeking a dynamic and passionate Drama Teacher to join their team from September in a full-time, long-term role. The school has a strong commitment to the arts and believes Drama plays a key role in developing students’ communication skills, empathy, and confidence.This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated teacher who can create an inclusive and inspiring environment where students feel empowered to perform, create, and explore the world of theatre. You’ll be teaching Drama across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the possibility of A-Level delivery for the right candidate.What You'll Be Doing:
  • Planning and delivering engaging Drama lessons that promote creativity, collaboration, and self-expression
  • Preparing students for GCSE Drama assessments, including written work and practical performances
  • Directing school productions and encouraging participation in extracurricular drama clubs or showcases
  • Fostering a classroom culture where students feel safe to take creative risks and develop their performance skills
  • Integrating a range of theatrical styles, texts, and performance techniques
  • Contributing to the wider Creative Arts faculty and whole-school events
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Experience teaching Drama at secondary level in the UK
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum expectations and a variety of dramatic styles and practitioners
  • Confident in leading rehearsals, performances, and collaborative projects
  • Excellent behaviour management and inclusive teaching strategies
  • Passionate about using Drama as a tool to build confidence, resilience, and communication
