Graduate Learning Support AssistantFull TimeSeptember 2025The role :Support students in their learning and personal development to maximize their progress.Assist fellow staff members in ensuring that students with additional needs receive appropriate support, engage in their learning, and become integrated into the school community.Supporting Students in Their Learning and Personal GrowthAssist students' learning in class and in 1-1 or small group settings under the guidance of the subject teacher.Serve as the Keyworker for students with EHCPs, conducting regular 1-1 sessions, and representing and supporting them during annual review meetings.Facilitate small group and 1-1 interventions for identified students under the direction of the SENDCO.Aid in the mobility of students with physical disabilities and/or sensory impairments within the school.Provide support for the personal care needs of students with physical disabilities.Collaborate to eliminate learning barriers for students with SEND using a creative, child-centered, and empathetic approach.Supporting Integration of Students with Additional NeedsWork alongside subject teachers to ensure students with SEND can access learning and make progress within the classroom.Effectively communicate with staff regarding the needs and progress of students with SEND.Adapt resources to ensure they are accessible and relevant for students with learning, physical, and sensory disabilities under the guidance of subject specialists.Assist in the implementation of exam access arrangements.The school :An exciting opportunity to contribute to the well-established SEND Department, facilitating the integration of students with additional needs into the broader school community.The chance to be a foundational staff member as the school enters its sixth year.Structured Continued Professional Learning (CPL) opportunities within the school and across the Trust.A focus on staff well-being and recognition as professionals and individuals.A supportive, family-friendly ethos.A progressive IT learning environment with individual staff devices provided.Early finishes during the October half-term and summer term.A brand-new, purpose-built state-of-the-art building with exceptional DT & Art facilities.
