- managing design and procurement processes to meet construction lead times
- collaborating on logistics planning and integrated programme development
- defining scopes and negotiating sub-contract terms with commercial teams
- leading on-site MEP delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and stakeholder satisfaction
- mentoring and guiding team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence
- implementing robust QA and Health & Safety procedures
- managing supply chain relationships and performance
- resolving design and construction issues promptly to avoid disruption
- producing progress and management reports
- forecasting and managing resource requirements
- supporting commercial functions to achieve best-value outcomes
- building and leading a high-performing MEP construction team.
- proven experience managing large-scale construction projects of £50m+ or major packages within larger programmes
- a strong understanding of MEP services and technical design standards
- excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- proficiency in project controls, planning tools, and document management systems (for example, 4Projects)
- knowledge of construction contracts and professional appointments
- strong influencing and decision-making skills
- to ability to be resilience and adaptable in challenging environments
- experience in major project delivery, including commissioning and handover
- HNC, HND, or degree in construction, engineering, or a related discipline
- a membership with a relevant professional body (for example, CIOB, APM, CIAT, RICS) is desirable.
