Locum Civil Litigation Lawyer - Full Time - Predominantly Remote Working - up to £50 per hour Umbrella - MidlandsPosition: Locum Civil Litigation LawyerOrganisation: Midlands based Local AuthorityDuration: 3 months +Working Hours: Ideally Full TimeWorking Arrangement: Predominantly Remote Working with occasional Court Attendance requiredHourly Rate: £50 per hour Umbrella dependent on experienceWe are seeking an experienced professional with a solid background in Civil Litigation Law, ideally gained within a Local Authority or Private Practice background. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, with a particular advantage for those bringing knowledge of Property Litigation.Duties may include:
  • Draft, review, and negotiate Contracts
  • Experience in property litigation including dealing with landlord and tenant disputes, forfeiture claims, trespass/encroachment claims, and dilapidations
  • Manage Civil Litigation cases at all stages of Pre-Litigation/Litigation
  • Ensure compliance with the Civil Litigation Pre-Action Protocol
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR by overseeing data protection policies and practices
  • Represent the Council in Court and conduct advocacy where appropriate in mainly remote hearings with some Court attendance required
