Working closely with stakeholders in the Delegated Authority team, you’ll translate complex requirements into innovative, scalable systems that improve efficiency and decision-making.This is a hands-on role for someone who loves solving problems, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys delivering high-quality, future-proof software.Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain bespoke tools, applications, and reports to support business processes.
  • Partner with business users to understand requirements and deliver smart, effective solutions.
  • Focus on simplicity, long-term effectiveness, and robust controls in all solutions.
  • Assess and recommend improvements to existing and new software.
  • Produce thorough documentation to mitigate risks and ensure continuity.
  • Work with the wider IT team to ensure systems are supported, secure, and up to date.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years in the insurance or reinsurance sector – Delegated Authority experience is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience with modern .NET (C#) and SQL Server development.
  • Experience working with Azure cloud services.
  • Front End skills with React or another modern JavaScript framework.
  • Excellent communication skills and a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
