- Measuring acid dissociation constants using a dedicated instrument (Sirius T3).
- Determining compound purity using HPLC/MS.
- HPLC method development/validation as required to develop new methods of analysis.
- Performing data analysis and relevant quality control of conducted assays, with routine instrument maintenance as required.
- Running routine bioanalytical assays as required in support of in-vitro/in-vivo drug discovery assays.
- Working collaboratively with members of the Drug Discovery Unit and academic and/or industrial collaborators to support drug discovery programmes.
- At least a Degree or Masters in chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences or life sciences (or equivalent).
- A minimum of two years' relevant experience gained in an industrial or academic setting.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the use of (ultra) high performance liquid chromatography ((U)HPLC) in the analysis of pharmaceuticals, including method development and validation. Experience of the maintenance of HPLC systems would also be advantageous.
