​Accounts & Audit Senior - DurhamAccountancy Practice recruitment specialists Clark Wood are currently working with a prestigious regional firm of accountants who are looking to add an ACA / ACCA Qualified Accounts & Audit Senior to the team in their Durham office.This well renowned and highly respected firm have a fantastic presence across County Durham and the wider North-East and they are known for providing a consistently excellent level of service to their clients, whilst also being renowned as a fantastic place for individuals to develop their careers and experience due to the wide diversity of exposure they can offer.As an Accounts & Audit Senior, the successful candidate will undertake a varied role in which you will gain exposure to a wide range of clients from a variety of business sectors. The role will include the preparation and review of accounts and tax compliance work as well as leading audit assignments from the initial planning stage through to completion. The audit element of the role is likely to account for approximately 50% - 60% of the workload although this can vary dependent on the successful individual's preferences to some extent.You will be client facing and will be responsible for the supervision of junior staff, assisting in their development.The ideal candidate will be ACCA / ACA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies and will have recent experience of undertaking a mixed audit and accounts position.This is a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate to join a highly reputable and forward-thinking firm in a position where there will be genuine scope for career development.Duties & Responsibilities:Prepare the audit plan and ensure it appropriately addresses audit objectives
Take an active part in the audit planning and fraud discussion to identify audit risks and appropriate audit strategy
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion
Ensure planned audit work is appropriately completed to satisfy audit objectives
Supervising & developing more junior members of staff
Accounts preparation for sole traders, limited companies & partnershipsSkills:ACA / ACCA Qualified or Finalist
