COME AND JOIN THE TEAMChildren's Surgical Day Case Unit within Nottingham Children's Hospital.Band 6 working 37.5hrs a week to cover maternity leave for 1 yearMonday - Friday 07.00-19.00You must be an RSCN or RN Child qualified nurse with substantial experience of working in a children's hospital setting as a Band 5 or Band 6 nurse.You must be able to lead a team, demonstrating excellent organizational and clinical skills.You will be expected to co-ordinate care on the ward and deputise and support the Ward Manager. In collaboration with the Ward Manager, ensure that the patient has a satisfactory experience by evaluating patient process and the pathway of care. Support the Ward Manager in ensuring clinical audit takes place in line with the Trust's requirements to improve practice. Being a point of contact for patients, visitors, relatives and staff acting as a resource for problems, needs and able to clearly present the patient's view to others. Support the Ward Manager in ensuring the development and on-going management of work rosters that provide appropriate safe staff cover.About usThis post is essential to safe and effective running of the ward area as the role entails delivery of direct patient care as well as ensuring that consistently safe and effective care is delivered to patients and their families; this incorporates the provision of emotional support.
