Overview:Technical ManagerHumdinger, Heckington NG34 9JHAt Humdinger, we're on the lookout for an experienced and forward-thinking Technical Manager to take the lead at our Heckington nut processing and packing site. This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll shape the future of food safety, hygiene, and quality, while driving innovation and continuous improvement across the site.Position type: Full time, permanentHours: 37.5 per weekShift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30 Responsibilities:
  • Lead the site’s technical agenda, including HACCP, TACCP, and VACCP systems
  • Ensure compliance with BRC and major retailer standards
  • Manage and develop a team including Quality, Hygiene, and Technical staff
  • Oversee allergen management, product testing, and audit readiness
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders
  • Drive a culture of best practice, innovation, and operational excellence
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in a technical leadership role within food manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of food safety systems and regulatory compliance
  • Level 4 HACCP and Food Safety qualifications
  • Experience working with UK major retailers (e.g., Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s)
  • A collaborative, resilient leader with excellent communication skills
