- Lead proactive business development and lead generation efforts.
- Develop and execute tailored strategies to exceed sales targets.
- Manage client accounts and support retention and upselling activities.
- Gather market intelligence and assess new sectors to guide business expansion.
- Create compelling proposals and respond to tenders with precision and insight.
- Represent the business at industry events and customer meetings.
- Maintain accurate records through CRM systems and forecasting tools.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a sales, business development or commercial role.
- Background in automotive, defence, or non-highway engineering sectors.
- Strong track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Technically competent, ideally with a qualification in engineering (NVQ4 or equivalent).
- Proficient in MS Office suite; comfortable preparing high-quality proposals.
- Self-motivated and able to travel as required.
- Training in Shipley or Miller Heiman sales methodologies.
- Degree in Business Management or related field.
- Up to £68,000 base salary.
- £8,500 car allowance.
- Hybrid working arrangement.
