We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our team at Woodlands Neurological rehabilitation centre in York.Working under the supervision of a Clinical Psychologist, you will support the delivery of psychological services to individuals with acquired neurological conditions and their families. Please state your preference on your application.What you'll be doing:
  • Keep people safe from any harm and protect their human rights
  • Deliver clinical interventions under direct supervision
  • Work with colleagues to assess patients and review their care in preparation for MDT meetings
  • Assist in the formulation of care plans requiring psychological treatment, under the direct supervision of a qualified Clinical Psychologist
  • Ensure all clinical documentation is of a high standard and patient notes are maintained and filed in the appropriate way
  • Assist in the design and implementation of service evaluation and research projects for specialist services
  • Provide a high level of communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain and contribute to the standards of professional care, ethics, policies, and procedures
What you'll have:
  • A degree in Psychology (2:1 or above) eligible for graduate membership of the BPS.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience working as an Assistant Psychologist in adult services.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Organised, motivated, and able to work independently under supervision.
  • A genuine interest in clinical neuropsychology and rehabilitation.
  • Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS.
