With a strong emphasis on teamwork, wellbeing, and professional development, this role offers an excellent opportunity for an experienced Practice Nurse — or a nurse looking to develop their career in general practice — to become an integral part of a welcoming and progressive team.About the Role:The successful candidate will work alongside a skilled and supportive multidisciplinary team, including GPs, Nurse Practitioners, Paramedics, Healthcare Assistants, and administrative colleagues. The role will involve delivering a wide range of high-quality nursing services, including chronic disease management, health promotion, treatment room duties, and preventative care initiatives.The position is available on a part-time basis (3 days per week) or full-time, with flexibility to accommodate the right candidate.Key Responsibilities:
Management of long-term conditions such as asthma, COPD, diabetes, and hypertension
Cervical cytology (smear tests)
Childhood and adult immunisations and vaccinations
Wound care and dressings
Health promotion and lifestyle advice
Contraceptive advice and services (desirable but not essential)
Supporting the practice in meeting QOF and other quality targets
Participation in clinical meetings and practice development initiatives
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Previous experience working as a Practice Nurse in a primary care setting (however, training and support can be provided for the right candidate)
Current NMC registration
Strong clinical skills and a patient-centred approach
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
A flexible, proactive attitude with a commitment to delivering high standards of care
Experience in chronic disease management, health promotion, and general treatment room duties (desirable)
A desire for continuous professional development
