
Graduate Teaching Assistant

- Providing tailored classroom support to individual students and small groups.
- Assisting pupils to access learning across a range of subjects, using creative and practical strategies.
- Supporting students with additional needs, including helping to implement education and behaviour plans.
- Encouraging students’ independence, social skills and confidence.
- Supporting teachers with classroom activities, lesson preparation and supervision during breaks or school trips.
- A recent graduate, ideally in education, psychology, social sciences or a related field.
- A patient, empathetic and enthusiastic approach to supporting young people with special educational needs.
- Ability to work well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- A valid enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
- Previous experience supporting young people in any setting (formal or informal) is welcomed but not essential.
- A supportive, experienced and inclusive team environment.
