If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join a vibrant primary school team in Huddersfield.About the Role:
As a School Admin Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day administration of the school, ensuring smooth operations and a positive experience for staff, students, and parents. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Maintaining accurate student records on SIMS, ensuring up-to-date and correct information at all times.
  • Assisting with the management of school attendance records and reporting absences to relevant authorities.
  • Supporting the Headteacher and other staff with administrative tasks, including communication with parents, staff, and external agencies.
  • Assisting with data input, producing reports, and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Providing excellent customer service to visitors, staff, students, and parents.
  • Handling the school's general correspondence and enquiries.
  • Managing school supplies and resources in collaboration with relevant departments.
About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Previous experience working in a school administrative role, ideally with experience using SIMS.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.
  • An understanding of school procedures and educational regulations.
  • A DBS check (or be willing to apply for one).

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
