In this pivotal role, the successful candidate will ensure the smooth operation of manufacturing equipment by performing both planned and reactive maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Engineer will be instrumental in maintaining a secure working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols, and fostering a culture of safety awareness.Key responsibilities include the upkeep of machinery to guarantee safe operation, meticulous record-keeping of maintenance activities, and the implementation of system enhancements. The role also involves crafting Risk Assessments for equipment and collaborating across departments to enhance machine availability and drive operational improvements. Additionally, the incumbent will share their expertise by training colleagues, thereby strengthening the collective skill set of the workforce.Requirements:
- An NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline.
- Possession of the 18th Edition qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in an engineering capacity within a manufacturing setting.
- Proficiency in interpreting and revising engineering schematics.
- Familiarity with variable speed drives, inverters, and PLCs.
- Experience with a CMMS TPM system.
- A proactive, self-motivated approach to work in a dynamic environment.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to engage effectively at all organisational levels.
