Job Title: Café AssistantLocation: FodderDepartment: Fodder Kitchen & Fodder TakeawayWorking Pattern: 18 hour contract. Working 3 days out of 7, including weekends.Reporting to: Catering ManagerAbout usFodder is an award-winning farm shop and café celebrating, the very best food and drink from Yorkshire.Fodder acts as a shop window for local farmers and producers, helping consumers to access local food easily. Fodder is well known for its quality and exceptional customer service.Fodder is accredited with Best Companies as a Top 100 Mid sized Employer and Top 25 UK Best Charitable Employer.Purpose of the RoleThis is an exciting time to join the Fodder team, as we look to develop and expand our catering offer. The ideal candidate will therefore have the passion, energy and desire to develop themselves in this role, as we continue to grow. Assisting in the daily operations of the Fodder Kitchen (cafe) and Fodder Takeaway. Delivering first class Yorkshire service, whilst being efficient and hitting upselling targets.Key Responsibilities· This is a hands-on role, to help deliver in the targets of the Fodder Kitchen and Fodder Takeaway.· Deliver outstanding Yorkshire customer service for each and every customer.· Greet all customers with a smile and warm manner.· Be able to take customers orders in a quick and pleasant manner, while upselling the products needed.· Prepare and ensure cold drinks and hot drinks are to a high-quality barista standard, training provided if required.· Serve food & drink in a prompt and friendly manner· Take bill payments· Be proactive in helping service flow within the café and takeaway· Adhere to all Food safety Hygiene standards.· Follow all Food & Health and Safety regulations for Fodder.· Follow the Fodder HACCP plan and help complete all relevant paperwork to play a major part in maintaining 5 stars for food hygiene standards.· To recognise the importance of fairness and equality in the workplace, to treat everyone with dignity and respect.· To be an ambassador of the Society values.It is not possible for this document to totally encompass or define all tasks that may be required of the post holder.
