Our client is a leading interior fit-out contractor based in Antrim, Northern Ireland. They carry out a range of fit-out projects across various sectors including commercial, hotels, luxury residential and specialist joinery projects.They are looking for a Buyer to join them to support procurement activities, playing a key role in sourcing goods and services efficiently, within budget and timescales, ensuring best value from their approved supply chain.Main Responsibilities:
- Manage the procurement of materials and services to meet project needs
- Analyse stock/requisition data to optimise purchase orders
- Negotiate supplier contracts and service level agreements
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain accurate procurement records
- Collaborate with internal teams to forecast needs and mitigate risks
- Support the implementation of ISO and industry-compliant procurement practices
- Construction related Degree or other relevant qualifications
- Track record working in procurement
- Experience working on fit out projects is ideal
- Strong negotiation skills
- Excellent IT skills
- Experience using computerised purchase ordering systems
- Self motivated
- Team player, good communication and organisational skills
