The school has a deep focus on addressing the educational, social and therapeutic needs of students, focusing on individual happiness and well-being where students can thrive academically, socially and emotionally.This Graduate Aspiring Clinical Psychologist role in Caterham is an amazing opportunity for education and training, to put your studies to practice and gain hands-on experience supporting vulnerable children with additional needs. Many of the children you will be working with face various barriers due to their complex needs, and you will be instrumental in providing consistency, and equipping children and young people with tools to ensure they feel safe, secure, empowered, and believe that they can succeed in life.You will be working alongside teachers and specialist staff to support students with learning difficulties, including autism, sensory impairments, physical difficulties, social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs, and associated challenging behaviours. Some of the professinals you will be working alongside include Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists and Counsellors.Person Specification for Graduate Aspiring Clinical Psychologist:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively
  • Approachable, and able to build robust and effective relationships with students
  • Able to remain calm and resilient when placed in situations of stress or conflict
