At DXC, building a better you, builds a better us.At DXC, one of our platinum accounts has positions for hybrid working DBA for varying skill levels.Essential Job Functions:Installing and configuring database binariesWriting and maintaining scripts to automate DBA tasksInvestigating and implementing automation of processesPerform routine, periodic, and proactive operation and monitoringTroubleshoot database related issuesPerform patching and upgrades to ensure data securityBe able to work 5 days onsite in Central LondonDesirable Skills and Technologies:Administration experience in a database technology such as MongoDB, MySQL, etcExperience of OS such as RHEL and Windows ServerExperience in cloud technologies such as AWSKnowledge of database monitoring tools, such as OEM and NagiosExperience in scripting, such as PythonKnowledge of database server clustering, failover, and disaster recoveryExperience in database replication software, such as Data Guard, Replication Manager for PostgreSQL, and MongoDB ReplicaSetsExperience in backup/recovery procedures and scriptingBasic Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of education and experienceProven experience in infrastructure technology managementProficiencies in project management and technical knowledgeA continuous learner that stays abreast with industry knowledge and technologyAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
