  • General Internal Medicine
  • Acute Frailty
  • Specialist Medical Services
Depending on your experience and career aspirations, you may focus within general internal medicine or frailty, or enjoy the variety of working flexibly across both specialities. The team have a weekend working commitment and this focuses on our front door areas including ED, Acute Admissions and our short stay units. This post offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your clinical expertise in a supportive and forward-thinking environment, while contributing to safe, effective, and person-centred care.You will play a vital role in the rapid assessment, rehabilitation, and safe discharge of patients in acute medicine. We work closely with the wider multidisciplinary team and are committed to high-quality, evidence based, patient-centred care. We are proud to be an exemplar site for early adoption of the Discharge Without Delay programme.Alongside your clinical caseload, you will:
  • Contribute to the development of physiotherapy pathways within your chosen specialty.
  • Provide clinical supervision and teaching for colleagues and students.
  • Take part in service and quality improvement initiatives.
