Due to sustained growth, we are seeking a Design Planning Manager to join our in-house team. This is a key role bridging design and planning, where you will lead and manage design development through RIBA Stages 1 to 5. You'll work closely with internal stakeholders, architects, and consultants to shape the design vision and ensure a smooth transition from concept to technical delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design process from early concept (RIBA Stage 1) through to construction (Stage 5)Oversee and coordinate design input from architects and consultantsPrepare and manage planning submissions and applications in line with project timelinesSupport the technical team post-planning with design intent and technical complianceEnsure all designs are aligned with planning policies, building regulations, and the company's high standards of quality and designEngage with stakeholders including local authorities, internal teams, and external design consultantsIdeal CandidateProven experience working across RIBA Stages 1-5Strong design background (architecture, urban design, or similar discipline)Experience working on large-scale residential developments, including both planning and technical delivery phasesStrong understanding of UK planning policy and building regulationsExcellent communication and coordination skillsAbility to manage multiple projects and deadlines concurrentlyDesirableArchitectural qualification (Part II or Part III) or similar design-led backgroundExperience in a developer or design consultancy environmentWhy Join Us?
