As the School sharpens its focus on executive education, online non-degree programmes and professional learning, this newly established division is central to LSE's vision to lead in innovative, flexible and high-impact learning for professionals and global learners.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Operations Officer to support the delivery of high-quality open enrolment and custom executive education programmes within our Lifelong Learning Division. This role is central to ensuring the smooth running of financial and contractual processes, including academic payments, programme budgets, and procurement activity. Working closely with HR, Finance, and programme teams, you will help maintain accurate records, respond to finance-related queries, and ensure compliance with institutional policies and external regulations. You will also liaise with external partners and suppliers, providing professional support and contributing to the continuous improvement of operational systems and processes.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative and financial skills who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is keen to contribute to the growth of Lifelong Learning at LSE.The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
  • Experience in financial administration, including invoice processing, expense claims, and budget tracking.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate records.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in financial and contractual documentation.
  • Highly numerate, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data management tools.
  • Service-oriented, with a professional and responsive approach to stakeholder engagement.
  • Discreet and trustworthy, with a clear understanding of confidentiality and compliance.
