This business is a true leader in primary, secondary, and further processing solutions, known for its innovation, quality, and trusted partnerships with some of the industry’s biggest names.Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Manager to drive capital equipment sales across the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for selling a comprehensive range of advanced food processing machinery to major clients throughout the country.You will focus on penetrating the UK market, managing high-value sales cycles, and targeting new business opportunities, particularly with blue-chip manufacturers and food production facilities.Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve and exceed annual targets (approx. £2.5 million).
- Manage the full sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to proposal, negotiation, and closing.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels, from directors to engineering managers.
- Identify and win new business opportunities, while also growing existing accounts.
- Conduct site visits, understand factory operations, and recommend tailored solutions.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and client meetings.
- Prepare accurate proposals and quotations for projects ranging from £100,000 to £1 million+.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Proven track record in capital equipment sales (ideally 5–7 years), selling into factories and industrial sites.
- Experience in food processing or packaging machinery is highly advantageous.
- Strong network and understanding of the UK food manufacturing sector, especially within meat, fish, or poultry.
- Confident in managing long, complex sales cycles with high-value orders.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills at all levels.
- Self-driven, target-oriented, and capable of working independently.
- Based centrally in the UK, with flexibility to travel regularly nationwide.
