Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-timeAre you a skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant ready to inspire and support learners across the curriculum?GSL Education are looking for a committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive school in Sheffield. This role offers the opportunity to lead learning activities, deliver planned lessons, and provide targeted support to help pupils achieve their best.As an Higher Level Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
  • Delivering planned lessons to whole classes during teacher absence.
  • Supporting the preparation and delivery of high-quality lessons.
  • Leading small group and one-to-one interventions to boost learning progress.
  • Monitoring and recording pupil progress, offering feedback to staff and pupils.
  • Promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
To be successful as an Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you should:
  • Hold a recognised HLTA qualification or have substantial relevant experience.
  • Have proven experience supporting teaching and learning across Key Stages.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work independently.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Provide a full, 10-year career history (CV) with any gaps explained.
