
Digital, Data, IP and Technology Associate / Senior Associate (4 PQE+)

- Providing strategic advice to clients (including on market practice), and generally guiding clients through complex transactions
- Drafting, reviewing and amending complex legal agreements, often involving bespoke concepts or new market developments
- Negotiation with counterparties
- Managing client expectations and project delivery appropriately
- Business development - development of personal plan, assistance with and implementation of business development campaign, staying across sector developments, attending conferences
- Minimum 4/5 PQE qualified lawyer, more senior lawyers also encouraged
- Experience of the telecom or digital infrastructure sectors as described above, and familiarity with related concepts and industry terms and clients, is a key differentiator
- Also beneficial is broader experience of advising on commercial and separation aspects of carve out transactions where external investors are acquiring the carved out asset/vehicle
- Strong performer at a large law firm, with core skills across the board that come with that (commercial approach, ability to simplify complex concepts for clients, ability to establish credibility with clients and counterparties)
- In particular, a track record of being a lead associate and “owning” one or more complex agreements at prior firm(s)
- Collaborative team player with the ability to develop and work in a fast paced, intellectually rigorous environment
