This is an opportunity to join a department that is investing in the future, with access to cutting edge equipment and continuous CPD.The role will involve teaching Electrical/Electronic Engineering units across a range of Full time and Apprenticeship delivery models. The successful candidate would be expected to deliver subjects that may include Electrical Principles, Power Engineering, Control and PLC applications in addition to a range of generic engineering units within their skills specialism. Additional skills in automation, robotics, electrical inspection, testing and fault finding would be advantageous. The expectation would also be that the successful candidate would be able to deliver in theory and practical sessions drawing on industrial experience to provide learners with clear links to appropriate work-based practices and employer expectations of standards.The successful candidate must:
  • Hold a relevant qualification in Engineering.
  • Have Industrial experience.
  • Have a willingness to impart industrial knowledge to the next generation of Engineers
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Qualification or Assessors Award (or be willing to achieve within a set period from appointment)
