
Crime Solicitor - Retrain

- Provide comprehensive and accurate legal advice and guidance to clients
- Manage their own caseload across a diverse range of clients
- Maintain detailed, up-to-date case files in compliance with confidentiality and data protection regulations
- Assist the team's Partner with a variety of matters
- Take an active role in business development to raise the profile of the team and the firm
- Achieve monthly financial targets, including billing and chargeable hours
- Representing clients throughout the criminal justice system, including police stations, Magistrates' and Crown Court
- Advising clients, reviewing documentation, conducting research and planning investigations
- Drafting legal documents and formulating effective defences
- Visiting clients in police stations and prisons as required
- Qualified solicitor, experienced fee earner, or trainee solicitor with criminal law interest
- Police Station Accreditation highly desirable
- Duty Solicitor qualification highly desirable
- Higher advocacy in the Crown Court desirable but not essential
- Ability to manage a caseload alongside non-casework responsibilities
- Strong client handling and communication skills
- Experience adhering to case management, billing, and compliance procedures
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality advice and achieving positive outcomes
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with colleagues
- Engagement with business development activities
- Good knowledge of IT systems and willingness to keep skills and knowledge up to date
