A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Architectural Technician to join a growing, multi-disciplinary team based in Chelmsford. The company delivers large-scale, residential-led development projects and is looking to expand its regional presence to support planning and technical delivery across the South and East of England.You'll work on a variety of housing and master planning schemes, producing high-quality planning and technical drawing packages for projects at various stages from pre-application through to delivery. The role will involve close collaboration with local planning authorities, clients and consultants.This is an excellent long-term opportunity for an Architectural Technician seeking involvement in major residential developments while progressing their career in a supportive and design-led environment.To be considered for the Architectural Technician position:
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Architecture or Architectural Technology
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in an architectural practice, ideally focused on large-scale residential schemes
- Proven experience delivering UK-based housing projects for national housebuilders, land promoters or developers
- Comfortable liaising with local planning authorities and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential (Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office also desirable)
- Solid understanding of UK Building Regulations and planning legislation
- Ability to prepare and submit planning packs with an eye for layout and annotated visual communication
- A strong design portfolio demonstrating both technical and conceptual ability
