Contract Type: Part-time, long-termVision for Education is working in partnership with a local authority team to appoint a passionate and qualified After School Tutor to deliver high-quality, subject-specific tuition on an hourly basis in a 1:1 setting after school in the Chester area.This is a flexible, part-time opportunity—ideal for experienced teachers or tutors looking to make a direct impact on student progress. Students typically access 1 hour per week, and sessions can take place online or face-to-face, depending on student needs. The tutor will teach multiple students at different times, therefore the ability to create a supportive and focused learning environment is essential.Subjects Available:
  • English
  • Maths
  • Science
Requirements:
  • A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE, TEFL, TESOL, BA Ed etc.)
  • Experience working with SEND pupils
  • Strong understanding of the secondary curriculum
  • Commitment to regular, scheduled tutoring sessions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and learner-centred teaching style
