A leading residential living platform is looking to add a Senior Development Manager to their London team due to continued growth within the operational living space.Position Overview:We’re seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead and deliver high-profile, large-scale real estate projects from acquisition through to handover. You’ll oversee end-to-end development, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to company standards, while coordinating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders.Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead acquisition and development of large-scale projects aligned with business goals.
  • Maintain active communication across development, construction, and operations teams.
  • Prepare and manage project plans, budgets, financial models, and feasibility studies.
  • Oversee negotiations of key contracts and sale/purchase agreements.
  • Manage third-party consultants, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Monitor performance metrics, cost control, and risk management across all project stages.
  • Ensure smooth transition of completed units to operations, maintaining quality standards.
  • Build and maintain relationships with local authorities and industry partners.
  • Prepare reports and contribute to strategic planning and other assigned duties.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Background in multifamily, student housing, or single-family developments (Build-to-Rent preferred).
  • RICS membership or relevant real estate Master's (desirable).
  • In-depth knowledge of UK planning, building regulations, and procurement processes.
  • Strong financial acumen with experience in Excel modelling and cash flow management.
  • Proven success in managing full development cycles of complex projects.
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and managing client-side project actions.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Project).
