A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Newham is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team immediately.Key Responsibilities of an SEN TA:Provide morning support for pupils with SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs, including ADHD and emotional regulation challengesWork flexibly in the afternoons across Key Stage 1 and 2Assist in creating a safe, nurturing learning environmentWork closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver tailored interventionsSupport students’ emotional well-being and academic developmentAssist with personal care tasks, including nappy changing, if requiredWhat We’re Looking From the SEN TA:Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school settingStrong understanding of safeguarding and child protection proceduresAbility to work well as part of a team and independentlyExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsRelevant training or qualifications in education or SEN (preferred but not essential)Why Join This Primary School in Newham?Supportive and friendly school environmentOpportunities for training and career developmentPotential to secure a permanent rolePlease note that a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection is crucial for this role.
