- Support the delivery of the Company Commercial Strategy; bidding for projects in line with current and best practice in SDS-R operational teams.
- Support the development of high quality, technically compliant, price and schedule competitive submissions for core projects. Engage with Finance updating actual spend, building customer / supplier payments and over / under budgets back into Estimate Templates / calc sheets.
- Support Tendering and Proposal Engineering Manager(s) with workload capacity and liaise with Sales to determine prioritisation and positioning of the workload.
- Manage Bids & Proposals SharePoint sites, document management, and ‘Outstanding Bids Matrix’.
- Manage, monitor and review client ITT documents, bulletins, clarifications; and distribute to relevant disciplines internally.
- Provide support to Bids and Proposals team by expediting key info from other internal support functions, suppliers and clients.
- Complete pre-bid questionnaires and qualifications.
- Develop commercial executive review packages in line with the agreed sandbox position.
- Support the department’s Risks and Opportunities database on an opportunity and enterprise level.
- Maintain Quality Management System and supporting Tendering Team process documentation. Ensure process map and team suite of 'How-To's reflect current working practice and update process / procedures as required.
- Seek, assess and address feedback from stakeholders to monitor role / personal performance and overall success of Tendering team refresh and extend processes and working practices accordingly.
- Support internal, customer and supplier meetings – including entry to site, room bookings etc. Attend and take MoM for wider distribution where appropriate.
- Support organisational learning and development, demonstrating improved and consistent component, project and product level learning.
- Deliver knowledge sharing training sessions at Team and Business Level.
- Demonstrate application of continuous professional development.
- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable to ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company.
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment.
- This position has NO direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Directly reports to SDS Rosyth Commercial Manager
- Previous experience in an similar role.
- HNC/HND in a business-related subject.
