- To provide leadership and expertise in maintaining and improving the Global Quality Management Systems (QMS) that support 22+ sites’ AS9100 and NADCAP certifications.
- Lead and manage global quality initiative objectives to improve our Quality Management Systems.
- Contribute to the senior quality leadership team supporting strategic initiatives and priorities.
- Manage the multi-site technical specifications, international quality standards and customer quality requirements review and implementation process.
- Manage the global raw material specifications development and update process across Hexcel.
- Manage our global quality systems including our global quality procedures/policies.
- Manage the global internal QMS audit program (which we need to expand).
- Oversee the process to ensure quality compliance of our aerospace distributors.
- Build and maintain internal & external relationships/partnerships with respect to: Hexcel quality programs (e.g. NADCAP etc.) and Provide professional guidance and expertise on certifications and specifications, to operate in our field.
- Identify gaps and then create and rollout global policies/procedures or instruct others to complete
- Degree or equivalent in relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
- Expert knowledge of quality systems (experience managing site & multi-site quality management systems).
- Understanding of international quality standards, such as AS9100, ISO9001, NADCAP, AS9145, etc.
- Strong knowledge of problem solving techniques and with proven ability to apply to various situations.
- Strong persuasive and negotiation skills in dealing with both internal, and external third party agencies.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to articulate clearly to all stakeholders.
- Ability to participate authoritatively in detailed quality systems/requirements discussions and in presentations to customers, suppliers and external organisations.
- Performance driven, customer focused with an understanding of the company’s technical targets.
- Able to operate strategically as part of the management team to align Hexcel’s capabilities with business objectives.
- Proven ability to create, proof-read and know when and when not to approve technical reports.
