You just found it.Job Title : Service Engineer (Field Based)Region: North West England and YorkshireWe're hiring for a motivated and experienced Service Engineer to contribute towards our Surgical Workplaces service team, focussed on our Endoscope Reprocessing portfolio across the North West of England and Yorkshire.Getinge is a well-respected Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), saving lives through the manufacture and maintenance of a range of medical devices and solutions. Our Service Team is at the forefront of our business, responsible for routine servicing, testing and repairing of our equipment in hospitals and facilities throughout the UK and Ireland.You will have the opportunity to make a difference by utilising your technical knowledge and skills to ensure the smooth operation of our machines in the field, representing the business and building relationships with customers and colleagues to deliver the best possible service.This is a field-based role and you will need to be a self-starter with experience of managing your own workload. Although you will be mostly working independently, you will be supported by regular contact with the Service Office, Service Managers and our Technical Services Department which has direct access to Getinge manufacturing sites and a wealth of technical know-how and expertise.The successful candidate will have a background and relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering. Comprehensive training on Getinge's equipment will be provided by our dedicated in-house training team. Through our Career Progression Pathway, all Engineers have their development assessed bi-annually against our bespoke Engineers' competency- based banding structure - meaning that the more you learn and develop, the more you will be rewarded.Day to day responsibilities will include:Dealing with customers, demonstrating first class interpersonal skills in a courteous and professional manner at all timesCarrying out routine testing of Getinge equipment to the relevant standards and undertaking mechanical servicing of equipmentProblem solving, combining initiative with a practical and logical approach to all aspects of the jobElectrical / mechanical fault finding of equipmentCalibration of equipment, where necessary, reporting all faulty equipment or equipment out of calibration to the Line ManagerMaintaining and monitoring adequate stock levels of spare parts in order to be able to respond to call-outs in a timely mannerProducing quality service documentation for submission to the customerMaintaining regular communication with the internal Service Department, Technical Department and Service Managers.Following the correct returns and non-conformance report procedures at all timesOrganising and prioritising a continuously changing workload, ensuring that all customers' calls and enquiries are responded to quickly and effectivelyProducing accurate and timely written/electronic reports, as and when required/requested.Providing Validation reports in specified time frames.Assisting team members as and when required/requested.Providing sales leads to relevant Service/Sales ManagersObserving and complying with Quality System duties and responsibilities at all timesObserving and complying with company and on-site Health & Safety requirements at all timesWho you are:At Getinge, we are looking for passionate individuals, who are agile, resilient, take responsibility for their development and focus on achieving excellence.   • HTM2030/01-06 or HTM2010/01-01 certification (desirable)
