We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and inclusive school community in Bristol this September.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to make a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs and to grow in a supportive, forward-thinking environment.About the RoleAs an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
- Work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide personalised assistance to pupils with a variety of learning difficulties and complex needs.
- Support students one-to-one and in small groups, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and positive learning space where every child feels valued.
- Support students' learning, development, and emotional wellbeing.
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging, accessible lessons.
- Implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Encourage confidence, independence, and resilience in learners.
- Experience with SEN pupils is desirable but not essential - we value the right attitude and willingness to learn.
- A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
