From installations and upgrades to user onboarding and equipment management, you’ll be essential in keeping our infrastructure running smoothly. You’ll also contribute to project-based work and collaborate closely with internal teams such as R&D and Network Operations.You’ll provide support to the business via the service desk—resolving or escalating issues as necessary—and assist with monitoring services and servers to maintain high availability. Additional responsibilities include supporting software and hardware evaluations, maintaining documentation and asset records, and managing mobile and on-premises telephone systems.The ideal candidate will have experience in a first-line IT support or similar role, with a degree in Computer Science (or related field) or demonstrable relevant work experience. You’ll have strong knowledge of Windows OS, networking principles, and cloud-based technologies, alongside familiarity with MS365, Active Directory, Exchange, and antivirus tools.Excellent organisational and communication skills are essential, as is being fully IT literate. You should have a proven track record and solid understanding of Windows operating systems, networking principles and firewall configuration. The ability to remain calm under pressure and build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders is key.While not essential, experience with Linux, JunOS, MacOS, and mobile operating systems (iOS and Android) is desirable. Familiarity with networking equipment from Juniper, Netgear, and Ubiquity, as well as virtualisation platforms like ProxMox, would be an advantage. Knowledge of NAS/SAN setups and virtualisation tools will also support broader IT infrastructure management.Core working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:30 pm. The role allows for some hybrid working over time, though the initial few months will primarily be office-based.In return, we offer an attractive base salary with flexible start and finish times.
