  • Responding to patient queries in a timely, helpful and professional manner
  • Managing appointments effectively and efficiently
  • Handling enquiries either over the phone or in person at the front desk
  • Maintaining accurate patient records
  • Utilising information systems to support efficient workflow processes
  • Actioning information, messages and enquiries for the clinical teams
  • Upholding confidentiality at all times

There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:a. Maintaining and monitoring the practice appointment systemb. Process personal, telephone and e-requests for appointmentsc. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers request appropriatelyd. Signpost patients to the correct servicee. Initiating contact with and responding to, requests from patients, team members and external agenciesf. Photocopy documentation as requiredg. Data entry of new and temporary registrations and relevant patient information as requiredh. Input data into the patients healthcare records as necessaryi. Direct requests for information i.e. SAR, insurance / solicitors letters and DVLA forms to the administrative teamj. Manage all queries as necessary in an efficient mannerk.
