Full Time: 6:00am - 14:00pm & 14:00pm - 10:00pmI am looking for a skilled CNC Setter/Operator or a fully accomplished apprentice to join a Bournemouth based global manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a metal cutting background, with either CNC milling or turning experience. You will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC Milling and Turning machines to produce high-quality components according to specifications. The CNC Setter/Operator will ensure that all production targets are met while adhering to safety and quality standards.CNC Setter/Operator Responsibilities:
- Set & operate CNC 5-Axis mills and lathes (twin spindles/twin turrets and multi turrets) to produce components following engineering drawings and specifications.
- Change tooling / offsets in accordance with dimensions required.
- Self-inspect finished parts.
- Escalate any machine malfunctions to initiate corrective actions to minimise downtime and ensure continuous production.
- Measuring & loading / unloading of tooling.
- Monitor & update daily TPM charts, escalating any issues that cannot be resolved to the appropriate line lead/manager.
- Maintain and improve 5s standards in the cell.
- Identify and actively be involved in Continuous Improvement activities and events.
- Proven experience as a CNC Setter/Operator in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience of Siemenss or Mazatrol controls (Advantageous)
- Ability to use precision measuring equipment.
- Certification from a recognised machining program or apprenticeship.
- Graduate CNC Machinist level.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety instructions, standard works and manuals.
- Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
