Our client is a prominent player in the civil engineering contracting realm, specializing in the Energy & Renewables, Utilities, Infrastructure, and Transportation sectors.A Civil Site Engineer holds the critical responsibility of accurately setting out the construction site as per design plans, ensuring precise dimensions, levels, and positions for seamless execution of construction activities.Key Responsibilities include:
  • Establishing reference points, control stations, and survey benchmarks on the construction site to maintain accuracy throughout the project.
  • Conducting comprehensive site surveys, including topographic surveys and geotechnical investigations, to provide precise quantities and volumes where necessary.
  • Reviewing and interpreting design plans, encompassing architectural, structural, and engineering drawings, to grasp project layout and dimensions.
  • Deploying and managing GPS and machine control equipment, alongside conventional setting out techniques, for optimal site setup.
  • Setting out crucial project elements such as foundations, columns, walls, road alignments, and utilities with precision, in line with project specifications.
  • Offering technical support to the site manager and other personnel to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Collaborating with project management and senior site personnel to report progress, address challenges, and propose solutions.
  • Supervising construction activities, monitoring progress, and resolving technical issues to ensure project advancement.
  • Ensuring adherence to all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards throughout site operations.
  • Conducting quality control checks to verify work compliance with project specifications.
  • Operating and calibrating surveying instruments to accurately capture site measurements.
  • Managing site material and plant, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
  • Compiling project reports and documentation to keep stakeholders informed.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to subcontractors and personnel.
  • Implementing quality control processes to maintain project standards.
  • Conducting as-built surveys and measurements for accurate documentation.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of site work and compliance documentation.
  • Ensuring all site personnel are trained and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Conducting regular meetings and briefings to keep the workforce informed.
  • Assisting in program compilation and implementation, and drafting RAMS for site works.
  • Collaborating with project teams to estimate material quantities based on setting out data.
  • Liaising with project stakeholders and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project requirements.
  • Identifying and resolving setting out, surveying, and alignment issues through collaboration and proposing solutions.
  • Adhering to health and safety regulations to foster a safe working environment.
  • Staying updated with surveying technology advancements to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
