Unqualified Teaching AssistantNational Teaching Assistant ProgrammeNorth Tyneside£379.60 - £400.00 per weekVision for Education are seeking candidates for our National Teaching Assistant Programme (NTAP). The programme is for people who are actively, passionately seeking work within an educational setting but don’t previously have experience in a school. This is ideal for professionals with a background in care, nursing, or previous roles working with children, outside of schools. Following completion of background checks and training, the right candidate will gain experience, and a reference, from a school, allowing them to continue working as an unqualified teaching assistant within Vision, working in a variety of schools with a range of child needs to gain excellent experience and knowledge to develop your career further. Vision caters to a range of needs, from full-time and part-time roles, to long term and day-to-day work, all of which can be discussed at early stages of registering, as well as negotiation of which year groups you would be comfortable in as well as discussion of your ideal travel scenario for employment.About the Programme:Following a successful interview and pending suitability, safeguarding and identity checks, we will work to secure you a paid placement in a school to further develop your skills. We will help you to develop your identity as an educator and help you to choose your specialist area with EYFS, KS1, KS2 as well as find a work pattern that works for you, whether this be part time or full time.Prior to starting your placement, you will be required to complete a comprehensive training programme delivered by Vision for Education and school leaders, which will give you the essential skills you need to work as a Teaching Assistant. Although unqualified, you will be provided with up-to-date, in-depth knowledge of behaviour management, SEND, safeguarding and child protection to give you the confidence to start your placement, and complete it to a high standard.The role of a teaching assistant varies from each school. You may be working to support the teacher during whole class teaching, running small group interventions to support children or working on a 1:1 basis to ensure the needs of all children are meet and that they can thrive.
