- Champion EHS Awareness: Foster a proactive safety culture by ensuring all employees understand and adhere to environmental, health, and safety procedures
- Drive Compliance & Best Practices: Develop and implement EHS management systems aligned with company policies, industry standards, and legal requirements
- Stay Ahead of Regulations: Continuously monitor and interpret government EHS laws and company standards, creating systems and programmes to maintain full compliance
- Ensure Excellence Through Audits: Conduct thorough assessments of policies, procedures, and job instructions to uphold the highest level of health & safety standards
- Lead Audit Processes: Facilitate both internal and external EHS audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance
- Maintain a Safe Workplace: Carry out regular inspections, promptly addressing non-compliance issues and eliminating unsafe practices
- Collaborate & Innovate: Engage with other sites and external organisations to adopt the most effective methods for risk and hazard control
- Manage EHS Budget: Oversee EHS-related expenditure, ensuring alignment with financial plans while maintaining high safety standards
- Investigate & Prevent Incidents: Lead thorough accident and incident investigations, identifying root causes, implementing corrective actions, and updating procedures to prevent recurrence
- A proven track record in Health & Safety roles within the manufacturing sector
- Experience in managing environmental systems would be preferred but not essential
- Good knowledge and experience in working with OHSAS18001
- Ambitious and driven in character
- Previous experience in similar roles such as H&S Manager / HSE Manager / Health, Safety and Environmental Manager or candidates with strong experience at a H&S Officer or HSE Advisor level who are ready to move up into a management position with site responsibility will be considered.
