We’re looking for a full-time Teaching Assistant with Team Teach training to join a specialist primary PRU provision in Manchester, supporting pupils aged 5–11 who have been excluded or are at risk of exclusion.Start: ASAP in September 2025
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract: Long-term, with potential to go permanent
Pay: £95–£115/day DOE for first 12 weeks (Paid PAYE – no umbrella companies!)

- Supporting primary aged pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and trauma-related needs
- Using Team Teach strategies to de-escalate and manage behaviour positively
- Helping children regulate emotions and build resilience
- Supporting learning through play, visuals and structured routines
- Working closely with teachers, therapists, and families
- Encouraging essential life skills and positive social interaction
- Following safeguarding procedures and reporting concerns appropriately
- Specialist primary setting for children with EHCPs and SEMH needs
- Focus on emotional wellbeing, communication and personal development
- Curriculum built around nurture principles and essential skills
- Staff trained in therapeutic approaches and positive behaviour support
- Strong emphasis on relationships, trust and individual progress
- Enrichment activities, outdoor learning and community engagement
- Team Teach certificate (in date)
- CV with 10-year work history
- Proof of Right to Work, ID & proof of address
- DBS on Update Service (or willing to apply)
