- Accredited Clinical Coding Qualification (NCCQ).
- Minimum of 5 GCSE passes at grade 4 or above or equivalent, must include Maths, English & Science.
- ECDL or equivalent IT qualification.
- Supervisory qualification
- Willingness to undertake auditor qualification
- Working in a coding dept.
- Experience of participating in complex coding audits and validation.
- Experience of working with hospital-based computer systems.
- Windows Packages.
- Experience of working with clinicians, senior managers and other NHS staff.
- Experienced at supervising or mentoring staff.
- Experience of using data analysis and benchmarking tools.
- Excellent communication skills
- Good keyboard skills.
- Presentation skills.
- Knowledge of HRGs, NTPS, PbR
- Methodical, accurate & numerate.
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership skills.
- Able to prioritise and manage own workload.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Knowledge of legislation relating to people management, training, Health & Safety and confidentiality.
- Ability to deliver training to newly appointed staff.
