  • Leadership & Management - Lead and inspire teaching teams, ensuring programmes run smoothly and deliver excellent results in retention, achievement, and progression.
  • Quality & Compliance - Oversee schemes of learning, assessment planning, and work experience opportunities while embedding college-wide quality frameworks.
  • Strategic Curriculum Development - Shape and grow the A Level curriculum in line with college priorities, student needs, and community aspirations.
  • Performance Monitoring - Track and report on attendance, punctuality, recruitment, retention, and achievement to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Collaboration Across College - Work closely with senior leaders and services including Quality, HR, Finance, MIS, and Student Support to drive whole-college success.
  • Inspection Readiness - Lead curriculum areas during inspections (e.g., Ofsted, QAA), ensuring compliance and a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Student Experience & Outcomes - Champion employability, personal development, and enrichment opportunities that prepare learners for higher education and beyond.
  • Teaching Commitment - Deliver 14 hours of high-quality teaching per week to keep connected to learners and model excellence in the classroom.
Is This You?We're looking for an experienced and motivated educator who can balance strategic vision with operational delivery. You'll be someone who thrives on working in a fast-paced environment, has a passion for student success, and can lead by example.You'll bring:
  • A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification (essential)
  • At least 2 years' teaching experience in A Levels (or relevant subject area)
  • A track record of successful teaching across a range of levels
  • Experience using digital learning technologies to enhance teaching and learning
  • Strong organisational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage performance effectively
  • A sound understanding of Safeguarding, Prevent, equality and diversity
  • The ability to interpret data and influence decision-making
