Rate: £300 – £325 per dayRole Overview:We are urgently seeking a Building Services Engineer or Resident Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical bias) to provide weekend site supervision on a prestigious banking project in Central London. This is a contract role outside IR35, ideal for professionals seeking weekend-only work while contributing to a high-profile fit-out scheme.Key Responsibilities:
- Site supervision of M&E activities during weekend working hours.
- Monitor and enforce site safety compliance, including contractor activities and adherence to RAMS.
- Liaise with main contractors, subcontractors, and consultants to ensure quality and progress.
- Conduct and document site inspections, identify issues, and escalate where needed.
- Provide written reports summarizing daily activity, health & safety observations, and any risks.
- Ensure smooth coordination between mechanical and electrical systems.
- Report directly to the project lead or client representative.
- Proven experience in a site-based building services role, ideally on large commercial projects.
- Mechanical or Electrical bias – but must understand both services.
- Strong site safety awareness and supervisory background.
- Computer literate with experience in report writing (MS Word, Excel, etc.).
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Must be eligible to work in the UK and operate outside IR35.
