The roleWe are looking for a Technically Minded Senior Business Analyst to join our Payments Portfolio Team who has experience of working in Payments industry. This is an exciting and fast-paced role that requires a team mentality to fit in with our supportive and team-based culture.Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for capturing and documenting the project requirements - Business Requirements, User Requirements, Functional/Non Functional Requirements and Quality of Service Requirements (Initiate phase)
  • Ability to clearly define the scope of project to internal and external parties involved in change (Initiate phase)
  • Support the impact assessment of change control under the project using the Banks defined procedure to accommodate any additional changes business request after initial signoff working with the assigned Project Manager (All phases)
  • Reviews and edits requirements, specifications, customer journeys, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution for the project (Initiate phase)
  • Support the business case development of the project with the Project Manager (Propose/Initiate/Design Phase)
  • Identify the business processes requirements (new or updates) and alignment with information technology required to introduce project/change (Initiate phase)
  • Production of written documentation to support delivery specifications and process changes, report on your findings and to present to stakeholders where necessary (Initiate phase)
  • Process development created to evaluate the impact of the changes made, including taking responsibility for overseeing and reporting on this evaluation (Initiate/Design/Build & Test phase)
  • Development of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) requirements and planning - will work with the team to ensure testing covers and validates all requirements with the business and 3rd parties (Build & Test Phase)
  • Supports business testing efforts, ensuring that issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner (Build & Test Phase)
  • Attend 3rd party vendor service review meetings and understand key challenges and issues raised/expected for existing and new projects (All phases).
  • Create lessons learned document on completion of project and upon signoff (Operate/Evaluate)
Essential Knowledge & Experience
  • Strong experience in Business Analysis working in Banking and / or Fintech / Payments
  • Proficient in techniques for streamlining business processes which have been modelled and understood. Examples: error-proofing, value added assessment, process cycle time reduction, future-proofing, resilience, reliability, cost effectiveness
  • Expert in creating analysis of ‘as is’ business processes and developing new ‘to be’ business process and get signoff from business owners.
  • Expert analytical skills and business analysis and process design techniques (including knowledge of analytical methods, techniques and tools)
  • Be able to communicate with internal colleagues to understand the needs of departments and the organisation as a whole
  • Proven commercial experience in the development and management of the project business cases and delivery budgets
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and proven experience in dealing with senior business users, determining requirements and priorities as well as resolving issues
  • Experience of identifying and embedding industry best practice into current ways of working
Desirable knowledge & Experience:
  • Good understanding of all stages in a project lifecycle
  • Experience of Agile delivery methodologies
  • Strong customer awareness and a proven track record of ensuring the Business is always at the forefront of decision making
