- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for teaching music
- Proven experience delivering engaging music lessons in a UK secondary school
- Excellent classroom management skills and a positive, proactive approach
- Strong school-based references
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils
- Plan and deliver inspiring music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Differentiate lessons to cater to varying learning styles and abilities
- Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, providing constructive feedback
- Create a positive learning environment where pupils feel supported and encouraged
- Promote music as an extracurricular subject, supporting school concerts, choirs, and clubs
- Uphold school safeguarding policies and procedures at all times
